I liaised with David by phone on behalf of my Father (he lives in Wigan and I am Warrington) as render had fallen off the side of the chimney. He came out quickly to assess the chimney and also found a hole in the roof, providing pictures. He advised me of the work required to repair both along with with a written quote. He also came out quickly to undertake the work, cleaning up afterwards and sent pictures of the completed work. Would recommend.

I have had Dave complete numerous jobs over the years from full re roofing to replacement slates and guttering. Always fantastic work and tons of knowledge, both him and Dale are really conscientious workmen and really take pride in the work they do, always calls round when he says he will and very fair prices. Couldnât recommend highly enough and the only person I have used consistently for over 10 years.

David Hobson, working with his son, Dale, of Hobsons Roofcare provided all round excellent service and workmanship for us during a difficult time following water ingress into our home from severely deteriorated lead flashings to the roof areas above our lounge and integral garage. The tradesmen were punctual, considerate and efficient, and the work carried out was to a very high standard and for a very fair price. During the course of the planned works, David and Dale were also able to put right some additional defects that had been 'hidden' by the original builders and roofers. I recommend Hobsons Roofcare wholeheartedly, as these are the kind of tradesmen that you want working on your property.

There's roofers and there's roofers and then there is David and Dale. If anyone has any roofing issues repairs adjustment etc then look no further. I have worked in the roofing industry for 30 plus years so I could have pick of many roofers but for me my family and friends and work colleagues David and Dale are always first port of call without a doubt. You just can't buy many years of knowledge and experience and David is passing all that on to Dale his son who is already a very experienced roofer himself so don't waste you time energy and money hunting around trust me I don't lie because liars always get found out.

There are roofers and there are roofers but then you have hobson roofcare who you definitely need on your roof. I would very highly recommend this roofing service as knowledge experience and piece of mind is priceless to me. Dave and Dale are decent honest people who do a decent honest job. Due to stormy weather in February we noticed damage to our bedroom ceiling and top part of the wall. I called David and he came with his son, Dale the next day. He inspected our roof and immediately found the fault and returned to repair a lead gulley and replaced cracked roof tiles withih 2 days.We can not praise David and his son enough. They were very professional, highly skilled, courteous, respectful and reliable.Hobsons Roofcare is a genuine top class company with reasonable prices. The best service I had. David was fair, reliable, and very professional. My roof was leaking since March and I had it repaired three times, but all failed to fix the problem. 3 years ago we had a complete re-roof of our property by Hobson Roofcare and have had no issues at all. We have since had other jobs such as guttering and when the job of a roof being fitted on an old style terraced bay window became necessary I would not look to anyone else to do the job. David and Dale do an amazing job and we would not trust the job with anyone else. They work efficiently and always think of effective solutions. They do an excellent, high quality job. David did a thorough inspection of our roof prior to doing the work which made us feel at ease. He told us exactly what needed to be done to preserve the roof (nothing unnecessary) he also carried out extra work whilst doing the job and didnât charge us for it:). His trade prices on materials seemed to be a lot cheaper that other quotes we had had. David and his co worker were very polite and professional - they worked quickly and left everything tidy. Great work done, we had a very old slate kitchen roof that had dropped in the middle, Dave stripped the whole roof built up the middle which had sagged and re layed tile down in just over a day. Also had an issue with guttering which Dave diagnosed the problem and has helped the damp problem greatly. Fantastic workman and really knowledgeable. Highly recomended

I contacted David to quickly fix a leak in my mother-in-law's flat roof that was coming through the ceiling. He responded came out the next day. His quote for the work followed quickly and was reasonably priced. The work was done within a few days and he sent me photograghs of the repair. He responded very quickly by phone and email to my queries and gave excellent advice about the longer-term security of the roof. I would certainly use David again and would recommend him to friends and neighbours.

Highly recommended and an excellent service from Hobsons Roof Care. We had rain coming into our new conservatory and needed someone to investigate the cause. David responded very fast and arrived at our home promptly to investigate the cause. We were informed that broken tiles torn and rotten roof felting was the problem. We also asked him to look at reseating the ridge tiles. We received an estimate for the work the same day which we accepted and he arrived on site the following day to start the repairs. The workmanship was excellent and just as important was the fact that no mess was left behind. Would be my first choice for any future roofing work and is highly recommended.

I have used David Hobson before to re-roof my garage and I was very impressed with the quality of his workmanship. In general his whole work ethos is very rare these days and something to be proud of. Maybe 'old school' customer service meets upto date craftsmanship is the best way I can think of describing Hobson's. Anyway, needless to say he was the No1 choice when I decided to re-roof my single storey extension. The high level of professionalism and customer courtesy was still the same as it was 2 years previously, which makes things a hell of a lot less stressful. Would highly recommend.

After years of trying to fix various repairs on our roof and getting nowhere we decided to have a complete new roof and found Hobson's roofcare following some recommendations. I contacted David late on 31/1/17, he arranged to come and give me a quote on 1/2/17 and arrived at the time stated. He sent me the estimate the same evening which I accepted. Due to the nature of the work we did not agree a date as the weather was a factor. My gutter between my conservatory and dormer was leaking and it was difficult to access and would have been dangerous in wet weather. David contacted me on 2/1/17 to say he could come and do the job and arrived at the time stated. The job was completed, everything was left clean and tidy, they were both friendly, professional and courteous and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

This is the second occasion I have used David (Hobson)and I would highly recommend him. This time I required all new gutters and downpipes as the current gutters were too small to handle the rainfall we were getting. David advised me on the required size and also the best product for stopping leaves etc clogging up the gutters.David arrived on the day and time agreed. I always find him a pleasure to deal with. Dave is very reliable and efficient. I only rang him at 9am. He arrived to assess the work. Was back by 1 pm to undertake the work ( loose slate tiles and ridge tiles needing pointing). The work was completed by 3pm for myself and my neighbour. I could not be more pleased. Highly recommended.

First class service from start to finish, David explained clearly what the problem was related to and also his recommended remedy. While we were discussing the original problem another issue was pointed out which had escaped my attention. Hobson's quote for the work was quite competitive. Both jobs were completed on the day specified and a full clean-up was undertaken when the job was finished, the clean-up even extended to vacuuming all dust from the outside areas under where they had been working. I can honestly say Hobson's carry out a really excellent service.

Following recent bad weather it was apparent we had a leaky roof. After a phonecall at tea time Dave then came round within 24 hours to assess the work. He gave a very reasonable quote (Saturday morning) for not just the immediate repair but also some other issues he identified. He then came back to undertake the repairs on the Monday which were done to a very high standard.

Finding a roofer for many is a daunting task due to so many horror stories. However, Hobsons Roofcare were brilliant. David Hobson keeps his word, comes when he says he will and gives a fair assessment of the work needed. He saw I had an emergency and dealt with it in a fantastic manner whilst I was away as I had a pre booked holiday abroad. Very happy with the service provided.

Called David out to assess a leak in our roof. David was very reliable, turned out when he said he would, quoted what we considered a reasonable price and didn't deviate away from it. We were very pleased with the work that David did, and certainly wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to friends. Contacted Hobsons to rebed the ridge tiles, repair cracked roof tiles and repair a leaking gutter. All work carried to satisfaction and they also cleared out the guttering as well. Turned up when they said they would. Would highly recommend Hobsons as they are friendly, imformative and rates are very reasonable.

I would recommend this trader to anyone for good workmanship, with no problems, just got on with the job, they did an excellent job thro'out. The job was to clear moss from the roof, but they checked all the roof for any faults which were corrected, they did not charge for this extra work. Very polite & courteous. They deserve to be on the Wigan Council Good Trader Scheme list.

Always felt I was dealing with a professional. Work was completed, when a secondary problem appeared. I contacted Dave Hobson at 8.30 on a Saturday morning and he immediately text back and was at my house in half an hour. He arranged to come back Monday and complete this second phase of work, although relatively minor it required some materials and a return visit and he made no additional charge. Excellent all round !

I contacted David Hobson to give me an estimate to repair and put right the poor work that the previous contractors had carried out on our roof. David was friendly, punctual and explained everything he was going to do. They did an excellent job in rectifying the problems that we had been left with. The site was left clean and tidy and all the rubbish taken away. The work was carried out to a high standard of workmanship David and Simon carried out an excellent job and we are very pleased that the roof has finally been fixed professionally. Wow a tradesman that phones and turns up exactly when they said they would and they also tidy all rubbish up before leaving. I chose Hobsonââ¬â¢s roofcare after reading all the good reviews on Wigan good trader which I have used before. I had slates that fell of my roof and left a hole and required some immediate work he came and did a temporary repair straight away then arranged to come back and do a permanent job along with some other work I required. He did a great job and I would definitely recommend him and would not hesitate to use him again.

I also asked him would he look at gutters which were overflowing. No job was too small and he cleared all the moss from them. We are delighted with the excellent work we have received from Hobsons Roofcare. From receiving a quote, within 24 hours, to completion of a full re-roof. Every element of the work was executed with attention to detail, outstanding proficiency and flawless logistics.The building supplier along with supporting services (skips, scaffold, etc.) clearly carefully chosen by David Hobson, to complement his high standards demanded. David and his team were always most amiable, with a determination to give customer satisfaction.Best quality materials were utilised and the work was done unhurriedly but with efficiency and expertise that finished the job within the five days specified. The finished roof looks great and the dry ridge tiles and dry verge not only enhance the appearance but virtually require no maintenance.The site was kept clean and tidy sweeping up at the end of each day and on completion the scaffold platforms were swept clean leaving the scaffold as it was found but also ensured there was no risk of debris being left on site when scaffold was dismantled after site vacated.A first class job from a first class company. We have no hesitation in recommending Hobson Roofcare, deservingly Good Trader of the Year.

Hodson roofing was a very friendly company to deal with we employed them to do our couping stones on our roof, they were very punctual, polite, friendly, very tidy, they did the job in the time scale they discussed with my husband / my self, skips and scaffolding were cleared from our garden before they left site,, they left our property clean and tidy,,,, we would definitely recommend hodson roofing company,, as we already have to 2 of our neighbours who observed there work on my house and were inpressed,,who are in the process of booking dates with the company

Having recently renovated my house, I now needed my double garage re-roofing. Not having been too impressed by the previous roofers I employed on the main house I decided to look for tradesmen with higher standards. Hobsons roofcare stands head and shoulders above other roofing companies on this website so I decided to give them a try. Even though my expectations were high, David and the roofing team still managed to exceed everything I could of hoped for. I'm just dissapointed I didn't find them sooner to do all my other roofing work! Even though I am an engineer, and a fussy one, I don't think I could suggest any way that Hobsons roofcare could improve anyl aspect of their business. Quality, punctuality, cleanliness, price, respectful... all here in abundance. It's quite easy to see why they are number one, and quite rightly so.

First time We have used WGT scheme, and not been disapointed. David was a great help when our chimney had blown off and had damaged the neighbours roof,during the storm in February. He was extremely quick in getting the job done and gave me advice when it came to claiming off the house insurance as it was the first time I had ever done it and had no clue what to do. I chose Hobson Roofcare from the recommendations on the good trader scheme and I am pleased to say that I wasnââ¬â¢t disappointed with the service received. David Hobson (proprietor) was punctual and polite; he offered good sound advice and provided a competitive quotation in a very short space of time. Once commissioned Hobson Roofcare were punctual and carried out the works to a high standard and within the timescales quoted. On completion they removed all unwanted materials and cleaned up after themselves leaving nothing for me to do. Additionally other defects on the roof were reported and fixed at the time of the work. I would recommend Hobson Roofcare and should the need arise will have no hesitation in using their services in the future.
