Mr Westwell refurbished our kitchen - new doors, plinths, cornices/pelmet, sink & fittings. Because we kept existing cupboard carcasses this threw up some challenges but David surmounted the issues and did a great job. He turned up on the day he stated and just got on with the work. Completely satisfied with the work he completed for us. We have other jobs lined up for him. No hesitation in recommending him.

Joe was very efficient he turned up on the day and time to give us a quote for a new garden gate. When he had made the gate again he turned up at the date and time he had agreed. His workmanship is excellent and we would highly recommend him to friends and family

The quality of service we had from David was of the highest standard. Nothing was too much trouble. Advised us every step of the way in buying and fitting the staircase we purchased. Answered our calls, turned up on time, did the job to perfection and left the house tidy. A first class tradesman who we will be using for any joinery work. Highly recommended.

Kept in touch and updated when kitchen doors would be delivered and when he could do the job. Arrived promptly at 9:00am and didnât take a break until job was completed at 2:15pm. I now have a fully functioning, gorgeous looking kitchen for a very reasonable price! Couldnât be happier.

David did a range of work in my house including fitting new skirting boards in the living room and dining room and laying new laminate flooring in these rooms plus the hallway and porch. He also installed 7 internal doors. He did a top class job, particularly given I live in an old Edwardian terrace, where nothing is level or straight! He was polite, courteous and always on time. I'm getting him back soon to install a new garden gate. Would highly recommend.

thanks dave for fitting my 4 panel shaker doors in my living room,i waxed them in med oak liberon wax .perfect finish shows all the grain...very tidy ,taken away my old doors.dave explained not to oil the door veneers,as it would damage them.im glad i took his advice...well recommended..thank you.

We asked a David to replace our kitchen worktop and also design, build and install cupboards and shelving in two alcoves. We are really pleased with the result, the attention to detail that David has shown and the price. Everything was great from arranging the first visit to making changes and getting the work completed quickly and when agreed. Canât recommend David highly enough.

David has completed 2 jobs now at my property. One was refitting laminate flooring for which he did a professional job. Arrived on time, got the job done quickly and with minimal mess and a very neat job with attention to detail. David has also fitted bespoke shelving in our property. This consists of made to measure floating shelves which were finished to a high standard and fit perfectly. These are great for space saving. David discussed the job and offered practical solutions and advice. This was a very good standard of work in terms of the shelves fitted.

Dave was on time and got on with the job with no problems for us, the work was replacing handrail and spindles for stair and landing, which he supplied and fixed to excellent quality and after removed all the waste. I have no problem with recommending him - great work.

David is very punctual, polite & a pleasure to deal with. He replaced all the interior doors in our home ( from ordering through to installation), fitted an architrave, repaired a floorboard & fitted a new stair rail. The work was performed to a very high level with minimum disruption & completed within the agreed timescales & to the quoted price. I hired David to resize 5 internal doors after we fitted new wooden flooring that was thicker than our previous flooring. David provided a competitive quote over the phone which was much cheaper than other joiners in our area. David arrived on time, got straight to work and had all 5 doors resized and refitted in just over an hour. David's work is excellent quality and I would recommend him to others.

David completed 3 jobs for us. Firstly he built a door frame and then fitted the door. The craftsmanship of the work was excellent this prompted us to employ David to fit a banister for us, again work was excellent. The third job David completed for us was building a custom door for an alcove in the cottage style to match the other doors. To say we were thrilled with the standard is an understatement the work is superb I can't recommend David highly enough.

David discussed the potential problems with us at the outset and also advised how the installation would affect our current decor. David Westwell has installed a new balustrade to replace our old damaged one. I contacted him based on the other reviews he has received on the Good Tradesman Scheme, and was not disappointed. The service he provided was excellent, and I would strongly consider him again for future joinery work before going elsewhere. He turned up exactly on time for both the appointment for the quote and also both days he was working here. David was always very pleasant and polite, and just got on with the job, which was done to a very good standard. For the quote he provided us with various suggestions in terms of woods available and what options we had, and we were grateful for his advice. The quotes he provided were also very competitive, being both within my budget and also what I expected for the work from my research into what was required.I am extremely pleased to have employed David for the work I needed, and would look to him again in future without hesitation.

This is the second time David has done work for us, first 2 external doors and yesterday a new kitchen window. We would not dream of asking anyone else to do any joinery related work for us. David's task was to remove an old wrought iron bannister & replace it with new wooden spindles/bannister. He was punctual, conscientious & his workmanship was first class. David once again took on the challenge of trying to create beautiful joinery in my mad house. Yet again he succeeded, creating new skirting, hanging doors, and all on time and in schedule. Care, attention to details, communication with the client, suggestions, technical knowledge all add to his impressive repertoire. You can also leave David to work on your house while you go to work. David was on time every day and completed the job on time and within budget. He co-ordinate other trades as required, and suggested some improvements to my original ideas. He explained any issues arising throughout the work, and created solutions. I felt comfortable leaving David in the house any time I had to run errands, and three generations of the family enjoyed chatting to him. He left the job all neatly finished and tidy.
