I should have done this a lot earlier. My kitchen was in need of a new look, but I didnât want the mess and expense of a complete new one, and the layout of my existing one I liked anyway. I found AJ Kitchens on the internet and then was talking to someone who recommended them to me. I rang John and he came to see us. Absolutely no pressure from him at all, I wanted new cupboard doors and worktops, and a breakfast bar changing from glass to the same as the new worktops. I changed my mind completely from what I first wanted to what I ended up with, John simply re-quoted without any trouble at all. My kitchen was never going to be the easiest job for John, as I have glass splash backs and windowsillâs, but challenge accepted! I now have a gorgeous new kitchen, immaculately finished. Throughout the whole process, John cleaned up after himself at the end of each day, hoovered, wiped everything down and even brushed the path outside, all rubbish removed whilst he was still here. Iâd definitely recommend John to anyone, fabulous job, and heâs an absolute pleasure to work with.

John did a small job in my kitchen replacing laminate on both sides of my kitchen island and some draw handles.He was not put off that it was only a small job. He came straight away sent quote and job was done quickly. He was very professional and a skilled craftsman.He was punctual and a clean tidy worker and I certainly would recommend him should you need new kitchen.

John has worked wonders on our kitchen storage. Having bought a new-build property with basic kitchen units, we needed to retrofit clever storage solutions. John is very knowledgeable and was extremely helpful and patient in assisting us to figure out what would work best. I cannot praise John highly enough. He replaced my 18-year-old kitchen worktops with the minimum of fuss and inconvenience and I am delighted with the result. My parents recommended John as they'd had a kitchen refresh done by him (new worktops and cupboard doors) Our existing kitchen was beyond redemption so we opted to have a new one and we are absolutely delighted with it.The kitchen itself is very high quality and we're more than happy with materials used. John's attention to detail and workmanship are second to none and this is reflected in the final product. John was punctual, very affable and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to buy a new kitchen or indeed refresh their existing kitchen. My wife and I both work from home but not once did it feel like an imposition having John working in the house. He's a great guy and our dogs took a shine to him too! A&J kitchen fitters have a sterling reputation and it's well deserved. Our new kitchen should last years but when we do eventually need a new one we'll be going straight to A&J- Stephen and Yvonne

I have no hesitation in recommending John Clements and his workmanship to anyone wanting to change their kitchen. He is a pleasure to have in the house and he has given us the accessible kitchen we need without the expense of buying a new one. He has successfully converted the lower doors and cupboards into deep drawers and by fitting strong carousels into the corner cupboards we can now utilise all the available space easily including that which was previously impossible to get to. I can't recommend A&J fitters enough. My kitchen was made to measure. It is perfect. I have so much more storage. John was on time everyday. He was friendly and explained everything when I asked. John was very professional in his work, he was on time and cleaned up every day and he fitted our flat pack b&q kitchen which had very limited details on the plans without any difficulty. Any issues that arose, John told us about them and how he was going to get round it. He also arranged an electrician to do a few extra jobs for me as well. I would recommend John whenever anybody asks me about having a kitchen done.

We needed some repairs to our kitchen - replacement worktops, sink and a couple of new units, also replacing an old cooker with a new built in oven & hob. John quoted and we asked him to carry out the work. John was very helpful he left us some worktop samples and brochures it was all seamless the job was completed over a couple of days to a very high standard everywhere was left tidy and he removed the old appliances and waste. We chose A&J Kitchens to refurbish our kitchen based on other peopleâs reviews of Johnâs work, and very quickly realised that we had made the right decision. The speed and quality of Johnâs workmanship, his politeness, promptness, and his management of other craftsmen and suppliers involved with the project were excellent and it was evident that he had chosen the electrician, tiler, plasterer, and painter to work to the same high standards that he had set himself. Rang John after looking at the Good Trader Scheme/facebook/website. Made appointment for him to come to our house to look at installing a new kitchen. He arrived on time. Discussed our plans with him. He made some great suggestions which we hadn't even thought about He then produced a plan and sent it to us We then realised that one of the things we wanted didn't look quite right. Contacted John and he made the change for us. Agreed a fitting date which was adhered to. John arrived on the first day on time and this was the norm from there on in. John was meticulous in his work and his attention to detail was fantastic. We are delighted with our new kitchen To say we are pleased with the end result is an understatement. I'd purchased a selection of wall & base kitchen units from IKEA and assembled them myself. I contacted AJ Kitchens via an advert in the local paper and asked for a quote for fitting the units in with worktops, sink, double oven & hob. John Clements came and discussed my options with me and provided a prompt written quote within 3 days, which I accepted. He waited patiently whilst I saved up and then came to see me prior to installation to run through my ideas. John always answers the phone when you ring, or responds quickly to any texts etc. His quotation was very fair and competitive. His workmanship is excellent, he arrives on time and leaves the workplace clean each day. I would highly recommend AJ Kitchens to anyone looking for quality workmanship and a great professional service.

John is a perfectionist in his work. He arrived the first day earlier than expected, and got straight into his work. No hanging about or being slovenly. He is tireless, kept going and so meticulous and quick. Over the few days heâd transformed the kitchen, he was polite, friendly and very work conscious. John Clements created a beautiful (stunning) kitchen for us, which definitely has the WOW factor. Every detail is meticulously crafted and for us, it is our dream kitchen. We had to wait several weeks for a booking slot, as he is very busy, but it was well worth the wait. The quote he gave us was very reasonable considering what we asked for, and that is what we paid, apart from extras that we requested. We had our own ideas about what we wanted, but john made some very good suggestions to improve the design and layout. John does his own plumbing and an electrician (David) works alongside him for first and final fix. The tiler (Tom) has been on the team for eight years and does a fantastic professional job. John is a fast worker and has a passion for what he does and loves a challenge. We are truly delighted with the end result and would have no hesitation in recommending him. Finally, John likes a nice cup of tea and seemed to enjoy the Yorkshire tea bags we use, but donât forget to keep that kettle on the boil to keep the job steaming ahead!

From when John came to look at the work, and offer a quote, he was very professional and precise in understanding what we wanted. He arrived on the day and at the time arranged, and immediately started the work. He was very clean (dust sheets, etc.) and he did an excellent job. He was easy to speak to and explained what he was doing, and he (very important) cleaned up thoroughly after he had finished. I could not recommend him highly enough. Also his price was very fair.

Removal/ disposal of old kitchen and installed new kitchen and appliances supplied by Wren.John also arranged and coordinated for all other works to be completed (plastering, electrics, tiling & disposal of rubbish).Communication was good from start to finish - responded promptly to email, text or phone calls.After consultation, John suggested some adaptions to the original kitchen design plan and these improved the flow/ look of the kitchen.There were no issues with John's punctuality or efficiency. John packed away tools and cleaned area before leaving each evening.Quality of work was excellent - highly recommended.

We found John to be very pleasant, nevervstopped working and great o chat to very sociable. Clean worker under the circumstances, sawdust was cleaned up and bagged. John came to replace some cupboards and doors damaged after a leak. He also put up some new cupboards for me. His attention to detail is second to none. He takes great pride in his work and works very cleanly, tidying up as he goes along. The work was carried out to perfection and he did not leave a speck of dust either inside or out where he had to cut and shape the breakfast bar. John was quick, efficient and highly skilled. He replaced all our worktops, sink, tap, pipework and hob (he even arranged a gas engineer) and completed everything in a day. The joints are superb, we can't fault a thing. He was a really nice polite guy to deal with, and kept everything neat and tidy - he even brought his own vacuum cleaner! Very happy with my new kitchen. John is a perfectionist and his attention to detail is meticulous. His team of traders are also excellent. With the amount of work I had done, disruption was inevitable but John made it much easier, making sure we had the cooker / sink utilities until the last minute. We contacted John after reading all the positive comments on the Wigan Good Trader site! We had our own ideas of what we wanted our kitchen to be like, John offered sound advice and what would work from his own experience,but most importantly for us he listened to what we wanted!! He sent us a computer image of what our kitchen would look like which was extremely helpful to us! He gave us a quote detailing what he would be doing the appliances he would be fitting and a start date. We were able to contact him to change anything we wanted on the design or the appliances, we felt comfortable at being able to text,phone or email at any time which we often did! He arrived early on the 17/8 and worked like a Trojan every day even the at the weekend until the kitchen was completed.His workmanship is of the highest quality,he and his excellent team worked efficiently and the outcome is a beautiful kitchen of which I am very proud to own !!! We are busy decorating or at least my husband is!! and I cannot wait to see the overall effect! If you want a dream kitchen too then call John Clements and his A team in to do the job!!!!

I had a heart attack last year and John very kindly fitted a much smaller kitchen sink as I could not stretch my arm to clean a normal size drainer and I was really struggling .. John came to see us at least 3 times before we commissioned him to do our kitchen. I know it sounds like a cliche but there really was zero pressure or hard sell from him regardless of how ridiculous our ideas for our kitchen were. Ultimately we decided to go with John not because of his previous feedback (which was excellent) or price but solely because of him as a person. We had never met him before or had any connection with him prior to us meeting him, we found him strictly through Internet searches. He sat with us and talked us through the process and helped us choose the right type of kitchen for our space. He even brought many different types of samples which we looked at until we eventually decided on our scheme. To his credit he didn't even complain when we changed our mind on the colours of the cabinets one day before he started work. When doing the work he was always prompt and stayed till late and always cleaned up after himself every day. The job took about ten days in total and he paid for all materials and supplies before he asked us for anything, in fact we didn't even give him a deposit, so there never really was any risk for us if things went bad. We now have our dream kitchen and the quality of the finished work is top notch. Everything is straight and level with all the cabinets and work tops especially with our dodgy crooked walls (it's an old house). The cabinets installed are much thicker and stronger than the standard b&q types and I believe they will last a long time. We have so much more open space in the kitchen and we have much more storage space due to the number of cabinets he managed to install. He even built us a breakfast bar with the leftover materials and just included in the original quote. We would highly highly recommend John to anyone in need of a new kitchen. We will send john some before and after pics once we have done our kitchen floor so he can put them on his website.
