The Good Trader Scheme is operated by Wigan Council Trading Standards Service and its aim is to assist residents of Wigan to find reputable traders for property repairs, home improvements, gardening services,and other services around the home.

Whilst Wigan Council Trading Standards do not approve traders, the aim of the Scheme is to reassure consumers by providing advice and information on employing a trader and providing a list of current Scheme members. Businesses registered with the Scheme have all demonstrated their commitment to fair and honest trading by signing up to our Code of Practice and agreeing to work with us to resolve any problems should they occur. They have pledged to deliver good customer service and to collect feedback from customers to confirm
this.
