Mike is very reliable. He is an electrician but can do a lot of different jobs as well. We would recommend his for anything you need doing. He fitted a new shower rail and a new xpelair fan in the kitchen.

Over the years Mike has done a lot of jobs for us including for my daughter when she was moving house and needed an electrical certificate, He has done outside and inside lighting and checked electrical sockets as well as installing a new consumer unit under the stairs. Last week on the 21st March he replaced a new light fitting in the bathroom He has a very genial and caring manner which inspires a lot confidence in his work.

Mike is a lovely bloke who came round to replace a 6 switched control panel in the kitchen which had blown and meant the dishwasher was not working and it was only a matter of time before the fridge and cooker and washing machine etc followed suit. We had a few other jobs which we wanted doing, such as fitting a light and a power supply in the loft and he also sorted out our leaking shower and fitted a new shower pump for us on subsequent visits.Mike has done all the things we needed and done a very neat job. He has gone the extra mile to put right previously bad workmanship to ensure more straightforward maintenance in the future. He is endlessly friendly and Iâd recommend him to anyone.

Mike was recommended by a family member and carried out work on our living room and spare bedroom, installing new electrical sockets and replacing old. He also solved a problem that we were unable to get fixed by others in our utility room. Mike came at short notice to remove some old wiring before the plasterer arrived. He went out of his way to sort out the wiring to an extractor fan that had not worked properly since it had been fitted (not by Mike by the way). Mike did another job for us fitting security lights at the front and back of the house. He was courteous thoughtful about our needs. The job was perfect with light on the garden setup perfectly for our dogâs evening strolls. He also fitted an outdoor mains socket for outdoor lights at Christmas. We have used Mike to do all sorts of jobs for many years, he is very knowledgeable and can do a lot of other jobs other than electrical. He has just fitted several light fittings both internal and external, and wired up our new log cabin and did other small jobs too. He is reliable, very friendly and loves a nice cuppa. Ask Mike to quote for two outside lights on timers and extra plug sockets in the bedrooms. He arrived on time, supplied a competitive quote and arrived on the agreed date and time. I needed to move a washing machine about three quarters of a mile, however this presented difficulties in that I do not drive, have a cardiac history and had no idea how to do all the coupling and uncoupling without possibly causing a flood.Mr Ferris had previously done some electrical work for me and I remembered him saying he did not restrict himself exclusively to this type of job. I had had a plastering job done involving tanking in order to stop any potential dampness. I now needed to repaint the room and required a radiator to be removed, then replaced later after the painting had been done and a new radiator thermostat sourced and fitted. I am pleased to say that Michael Ferris did this work for me involving 2 visits. Although they are only small jobs Michael was still willing to come and do this work whereas many people consider this type of job too small to be bothered with. I cannot fault any of his workmanship and his general cleaning up, after the work was done. A first class service.

This was the first time i have used Mike at Ferris Electrical and i couldn't recommend him enough, He carried out a landlords electric inspection for me. the report was detailed with recommendation for improvements, but he also carried out some minor essential works which would of been needed. their price was more than reasonable, in fact i thought it would of been higher as he changed a faulty socket whilst he was there. best of all he took the hassle out of the situation by offering to contact the tenant directly and worked around them. He will probably be my go to tradesman for electrical work from now on. The proof of a good tradesman is would you use them again, Yes - i have already asked mike to look at other work including wiring up a garden room at my own home - excellent tradesman.

As usual the service from Mike was first class. Our hob decided to go to hob heaven on Christmas Day. The Christmas break plus covid made it very difficult to sort out the problem until the New Year. Unfortunately we couldnt obtain a hob to fit the existing hole in the worktop, couldnt make it bigger and had to settle on a smaller hob which we received on 3 January. I contacted Mike late on the same day and agreed I would let him know when the hole was ready. Late on the 4th January I contacted Mike and he agreed to come the following day. Apart from being a first class electrician Mike always does his best to help and provides excellent service, keeping in contact, being courteous and a very tidy worker. This is the fourth job Mike has done for us now, installing shower fans, wall sockets and heated mirrors and he has never let us down No job too small or too big.

Contacted Mike to take a look at a faulty emersion heater switch. This was a priority for me as it is needed for hot water at the moment. Michael came out to me as an emergency callout as a connection blowout in the loft left me without lighting. The wiring was found to be substandard and dangerous. Mike was punctual, friendly and a tidy worker. He completed electrical jobs, fitting outdoor lights and removing a water heater electrical switch no longer in use, to absolute satisfaction. He offered advice on different ways wiring to outdoor lights could be done with minimal disruption and suggested an alternate use for the wiring to the switch to be used as a plug socket which would be useful for it's location. Wouldn't hesitate to call him again in the future or recommend him to friends/family.

I needed a socket installing quickly and contacted a number of installers using local advertising without result. Contacted the Good ?Trader team who pointed me in the direction of their list of registered traders. I chose Ferris because of the high number of satisfied customers. Phoned at 2 pm, got a return call at v5.30, job assessed at 9 the next morning , date and time agreed. Turned up on time and carried out the work exactly as required without fuss or mess and at a reasonable price. Restored my faith that good old fashioned courteous and timely service can still be found. Will certainly use the Good Trader scheme again and Ferris. Cant praise either too highly Thanks Mike. .

I had an electrical fault, which put my lighting circuit out of action for two days. The first electrician I contacted failed to turn up and so I looked elsewhere. Mike Ferris managed to fit in a visit at short notice at the end of his day but the fault proved hard to trace. He returned the following day, exactly as he had promised and managed to trace the fault and reinstate my lighting. For this excellent service the bill came to just ã60. This would have bought me less than half an hour of the other electrician's time. I shall definitely use him again.
